On A Scale From 1-100, It's 600

It's no secret by now that I am a lover of all things pizza, so you can imagine my shock and excitement when I was given a gift card to try out a pizza restaurant. Today, I'll be doing my ~official~ review of some of the items I was able to try at 600 Downtown in Bellefontaine, Ohio. I'm not kidding when I say I felt like the food critic in Ratatouille, except there wasn't much to critique, and this time it was a human cooking the food instead of a rat.
600 Downtown is an old-fashioned pizza restaurant located in, you guessed it, downtown Bellefontaine. They are NOT located at 600 Main St, though that would be pretty cool, huh? They've got a wide array of items on their menu, and they'll be coming out with a new menu very shortly so I'm excited for another excuse to visit them again. We got a little carried away and ordered a couple appetizers, a couple pizzas, and the (SPOILER ALERT) very delicious garlic knots.

The first thing I tried was the Caprese salad, it being an Italian restaurant I felt like I needed to try out one of my favorite Italian dishes. This one definitely did not disappoint. The mozzarella was super fresh, the tomatoes were juicy and there was just the right amount of vinaigrette. On the Sierra Scale, I give it 4.5/5 heart eye emojis.

Next, we tried the garlic knots. Anything with garlic in the name will most likely be a win for me and these were no exception. They were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, which is a recipe for pure perfection. Also the price was unbeatable. We got like 8-9 garlic knots for only $3.99, A STEAL!

My friend Kayli wanted to try the lasagna. Normally, lasagna isn't my first or even fourth choice, but it honestly was some of the best lasagna I've ever had. I'm not a cheese person, but there was totally the right amount of cheese for me, it was baked, it was HUGE and it did the job.

Now, on to my favorite part, the pizza. It's what we all came to hear about today, isn't it? They have a plethora of pizzas to choose from, which makes deciding honestly harder. We went with two of the "Signature" pizzas, though you can create your own which I definitely am going to try someday. The first one we tried was "The Montana" and I was overwhelmed by all the flavor. It has a ranch base, chicken and bacon, oregano, two types of cheese, and kettle chips. That's right, CHIPS. It sounded too good to pass up, and boy was that an understatement. It took a twist on my favorite pizza, Chicken Bacon Ranch, and added flavors I didn't know it needed. 10/10 would recommend. 5/5 heart eye emojis. Strictly going back to Bellefontaine to eat this again. The second pizza we got was the Award-Winning New Orleans. This pizza stood out to me because of the Spicy Cajun sauce. It was almost like a sweet chili, and paired really well with the chicken and bacon. It was absolutely delicious, and if you like something that has a little kick to it, you will enjoy this.

Overall, my experience at 600 Downtown was amazing. The view from outside is really beautiful at night, the staff were incredibly helpful and nice. They dropped our garlic knots accidentally, and replaced them free of charge for us, which is incredible service you don't see everywhere. I would totally recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling to or through Bellefontaine, or to any of my ONU friends who want a change of scenery for the day. I'd be happy to accompany you (though I won't be paying every time). Thanks to 600 Downtown for giving me this opportunity to try out some of your menu, you did not let me down.
